Let's end the need for shelters nationwide.

this is where heart meets hustle
Simon Says Foundation

What is the "foundation?"

Simon Says Foundation is a national animal-welfare nonprofit dedicated to ending dog homelessness, neglect, and abuse.

Formed in 2025, our roots in rescue run deep. We’ve been in the rescue world for over a decade, and many of our partners have been saving dogs for 30+ years.

In all things we do, we’re a hands-on foundation. Our work has given us the first-hand experience, insight, heartbreak, and motivation to do more in a much larger way and with laser focus.

Our origins started breed-specific, but our mission has grown. Today, Simon Says Foundation exists to help save all dogs, everywhere.

We also want to pull back the curtain on the dog charity "industry" to help create a world where saving dogs is more about heart and less about business.

"Dogs can't save themselves"

Dogs and the people saving them are all in need.

Rescues & shelters need us

The Simon Says Foundation helps rescues save more effectively. We offer resources, mentorship, and support every way we can.

  • There is not a single standardized "how-to" rescue guidebook. The rescue world is as diverse as the dogs they serve.

  • Rescue and shelter work is some of the most demanding, stressful, and heartbreaking in the world.

  • We help coordinate like-minded rescues into a consortium network working TOGETHER to save.

people are the key

It takes an army

We know first-hand the main reason so many dogs are saved is because of the networkers who volunteer their time, money, and heart.

  • Many new or small rescues are started by well-meaning individuals unfamiliar with the intense emotional, financial, and operational demands of life saving rescue work.

  • Saving dogs needs strong, established relationships with shelters across the country who are on the front lines of dog rescue.

it is broken

Fix the system

Legislative reform is often blocked by the very institutions claiming to champion change. For them, a solution means less profit.

  • Despite hundreds of millions spent and endless rhetoric, meaningful progress remains elusive and fragmented.

  • The 501 and charity industries need a ground-up overhaul. Many of them take in much more than they give back.

  • We'll show you where all that money isn't going - to the dogs.

the numbers don't lie

A reality check

Some statistics from our friends at CauseIQ:

Simon Says Foundation
Thousands of shelters do the saving; a handful take the spotlight

Small budgets, Big saves

75% of all lifesaving work is done by smaller organizations and networkers who struggle the most to help dogs every day.

  • There are over 28,0000 animal rescue organizations and shelters in the United States.
  • Combined they generate more than $7 billion in revenue each year
  • And as of 2024, they hold $15 billion in assets

Please do your homework.

When you see a cute video and you donate to an org that takes in MILLIONS of dollars - are they saving millions of dollars worth of lives?

Donate, volunteer, and network those organizations that do the most saving.

Where the Simon Says Foundation sits in the pack

We are here to help, not confuse. That's why all of our support for dogs and dog parents come through 3 pillars.

PHILANTHROPY

We run a lean organization with full transparency. It's a legal requirement. Your dollars help save lives every single day and we can't do it alone. When you give, you should know where it goes.

ACTION

Dogs aren't going to save themselves. And right now, we need more people who really care about dogs, not clicks. Get out from behind the screen and into shelters and rescues near you.

EDUCATION

Our goal is to improve the quality of life for dogs by giving clear and correct information to their pet parent(s) on all things “dog.” Better pet parents mean happier and healthier dogs.

Simon Says Pet makes the products.

At Simon Says Pet, purpose isn’t an after thought. It’s built into the business. Up to 50% of their net profits go directly to the Simon Says Foundation.

Every product purchased from Simon Says Pet - whether a shampoo, blanket, toy, treat, bed or leash - feeds directly into a cycle of giving and saving.

And you can donate dollars and items directly from each purchase. Your choice of how much and to whom.

Simon Says Foundation

Simon Says Foundation makes the difference.

Unlike traditional charities that rely solely on donations, the Simon Says Foundation is fueled by a brand that exists for a higher purpose.

The Foundation provides funding, mentorship, and essential rescue supplies including blankets, beds, collars, and slip leads to shelters and rescues that need them most. These are the everyday tools that make survival and comfort possible for dogs waiting for homes.

The rescue collection

Simon Says Pet is dedicated to helping dogs in shelters and rescues. They donate over 10,000 products every year to their partners.

Additionally, when a customer buys a rescue item at Simon Says Pet, they donate two of that item to rescues & shelters in their network. Even more essentials for dogs in shelters.
