APPLICATION & NOMINATION
Every partner starts with an application or a nomination from our community. We ask about their mission, structure, and the dogs they serve.
HUMAN-TO-HUMAN VETTING
We don’t just read forms—we talk to people. We personally connect with founders, volunteers, or medical staff to get a clear picture of their commitment and capabilities.
OPERATIONAL REVIEW
We look at how they operate: adoption processes, intake volume, veterinary partnerships, and how funds are used. This helps us spot teams doing the real work - not just the loud work.
ONGOING IMPACT CHECK-INS
Once they’re in our network, the relationship doesn’t end there. We stay in regular contact to track outcomes, understand evolving needs, and ensure every donated product or dollar continues to make a measurable difference.

We have answers
YES! Please consult with your tax preparer to verify the limitations, if any. Please keep the receipt as proof of donation for your tax records.
When purchasing items from Simon Says Pet site, any of the foundation items will be shipped to the designated rescue or shelter on the 1st and 15th of each month. If there is a larger product donation, they ship within 7 days.
After 10+ years in the rescue world, we know what shelters need and run out of the most often. We will be adding more items as needed.
YES! We provide direct links to each rescue and shelter we partner with so you can visit their sites and facilities and donate money, items, or volunteer.
For logistic and legal reasons, we only work with organizations within North America. We fully vet our partners including on-site visits, records and document reviews, etc.
We will stop working with a partner if there are verified issues such as fund raising without registration, abuse or abandonment of dogs, death of dogs, or any other bad actor behavior. We reserve that right without notice.
You can volunteer with any of our approved rescues or shelter partners by contacting them directly via the links on the site. If there is a shelter or rescue nearer you, please reach out as we know they need help, too!
